Summary

To take a full-page screenshot on a Chromebook, install the free ClickSnap extension and press Alt+Shift+F, or open DevTools (Ctrl+Shift+I), press Ctrl+Shift+P and run “Capture full size screenshot”. The built-in Ctrl+Show windows screenshot only captures the visible screen.

The built-in screenshot tool

`Ctrl + Show windows` (or `Ctrl + Shift + Show windows` for an area) captures the screen. It can’t scroll a web page, so long pages get cut off.

Method 1: ClickSnap (with editing)

  1. Install ClickSnap from the Chrome Web Store and pin it.
  2. Open the page and press `Alt + Shift + F`, or click the icon and choose Full Page.
  3. Annotate or blur in the editor, then Copy or export.

Everything stays on your Chromebook. ClickSnap works offline, which helps on school and work devices with patchy Wi-Fi.

Method 2: Chrome DevTools

  1. Press `Ctrl + Shift + I`.
  2. Press `Ctrl + Shift + P` and run Capture full size screenshot.
  3. The image is saved to Downloads.

On managed school or work Chromebooks, DevTools or extensions may be disabled by your administrator.
