1. Overview & Fundamental Privacy Commitment
ClickSnap ("we", "our", or "the extension") is a Chrome browser extension and web studio built by Sarangan Raviraj and Sahana Ravichandran. We believe your screenshots often contain sensitive confidential business data, personal identifiable information (PII), source code, and API tokens.
Our fundamental design philosophy is **Zero Data Collection**. ClickSnap is engineered from the ground up as a client-side only extension. We do not operate remote image ingestion servers, telemetry scrapers, or user tracking pipelines.
2. Data Stored by ClickSnap (Client-Side Only)
When you use ClickSnap, all data is retained strictly on your physical device via standard W3C browser storage APIs:
- Captured Image Blobs (IndexedDB): Raw canvas screenshot data and thumbnails are saved locally inside your browser profile.
- User Preferences (chrome.storage.local): Default format (PNG/JPEG/WEBP), auto-copy to clipboard settings, and annotation tool presets.
- Local Community Reviews: Reviews and feedback you create or like are stored in your device's local database.
3. Chrome Extension Permissions Justification
In compliance with Google Chrome Web Store Manifest V3 Least-Privilege guidelines, ClickSnap only requests the bare minimum permissions needed to function:

4. GDPR & CCPA Compliance
Because ClickSnap does not collect, transmit, or monetize any personal data on remote servers:
- We do not sell personal data to third parties, advertising brokers, or data brokers.
- You have 100% control to purge all stored screenshots and history at any time with the "Clear History" button in Settings or History.
- Uninstalling ClickSnap immediately and permanently removes all stored data from your machine.
